How to treat a flesh wound: brought to u by chelsea dightman
FOR SCRAPES (fig. 1): Wash your hands with soap before giving first aid.
Wash the scrape thoroughly with mild soap and water.
Apply antibiotic ointment if possible.
Put on a clean bandage.
FOR SPLINTERS (fig. 2):
Wash your hands with soap before giving first aid. Sterilize tweezers and a needle by soaking them in rubbing alcohol for 10 to 15 minutes.
Use sterilized tweezers to grab the splinter. Pull it out at the same angle it went in.
If the splinter is embedded under the skin, use the tip of a sterilized needle to lift it out.
Wash the area after the splinter is out. Bandage the wound if you had to make a cut in the skin to reach the splinter.
FOR LACERATIONS (fig. 3):
Wash your hands with soap before giving first aid.
Wash the cut thoroughly with mild soap and water.
Put pressure directly on the wound with a clean cloth if possible to control bleeding. Put on a butterfly bandage. Use this illustration to learn to make and use a butterfly bandage.
Get medical help if the bleeding doesn’t stop.
FOR PUNCTURES:
Wash your hands with soap before giving first aid.
Use soap and water to rinse the wound.
Loosely bandage the hole with a sterile gauze pad until you have medical help. Do not tape tightly over the hole and do not apply antibiotic ointment. Sealing off a puncture wound completely can increase the likelihood of infection.
Get medical help.
FOR WOUNDS WITH EMBEDDED OBJECTS:
Wash your hands with soap before giving first aid.
Do not probe or try to retrieve the embedded object.
Cut away any clothes from the wound.
If the victim needs to be moved, and the object impedes movement, very gently cut away the object a few inches from the skin.
To control bleeding, don’t press directly on the wound; use indirect pressure on the area around it.
Immobilize the object while getting medical help.
FOR BRUISES:
Elevate the injured area.
Apply a cold compress to help reduce swelling. Once the swelling has gone down, put a warm compress over the bruised area.

For Amputations: Attempt to re-attach severed member by any means necessary, no matter how painful or illogical. Recommended tools: needle and thread, staple gun, welding torch, superglue, thumbtacks. Attempt to restore bloodflow to reattached member by use of a highly elaborate system of pumps and fine hoses (straws will work) designed to move the blood from another area of the body (for example, the forearm for a severed hand, the femoral artery for a severed foot, or directly from the heart for a severed head) to the damaged component. Finally, attempt to restore functionality of the limb by attacking it with high-energy electrical devices, such as cattle prods, tasers, bare copper wires, or the highly popular "hot seat." Repeat until successful. Alternatively, simply place the member in a high-powered microwave until radiation causes it to move of its own free will. Note: if attempting this latter tactic, it is often advisable to have a SOUL GEM handy, with which to suck the new spirit out of the member, thus eliminating its free will and possible hostility while retaining the independent power.
