Great Arnold Schwarzenegger quote from Republican National Convention yesterday... "To those critics who are so pessimistic about our economy, I say, 'don't be economic girlie men.'"
("I intend to cut costs from our medical department..SEW HIM UP AND GET HIM OUT OF HERE!") I need the link to that cartoon again, Brett...that was hilarious...

after giving one of the TOP speeches in the convention thus far, ARNOLD RULES. his speech was freaking awesome. as you guys probably know, the girlie men remark was a deliberate knock at californian homosexual special interests groups who were complaining about when arnold called the democrat-controlled californian legislature "girlie men" because they (the democrats) were attempting to use lawsuits to block legislation the terminator had passed. an awesome qoute from arnold's speech: "If you believe that this country, NOT the United Nations, is the best hope for freedom abroad, YOU ARE A REPUBLICAN"
indeed, I am.
and now for the former democrat-turned-republican senator's speech (can't remember his name!!), which was also AWESOME:
"John Kerry says he would defend our country. an interesting remark, considering he voted against development and production of:
the b-1 bomber
the b-2 bomber
the f-14
the f-15
the f-16
the m-1 abrams tank
the apache helicopter
cruise missiles
Patriot missiles
and the Strategic Defense Initiative (a.k.a. Star Wars, missile defense system)
mr. kerry, YOU'RE GOING TO DEFEND OUR NATION?!WITH WHAT, SPITWADS?"
dick cheney, on kerry's contradictory policy changes and voting record: "My fellow republicans, mr kerry's greatest political enemy is neither republican, democrat, or independent. it is HIMSELF!"

lol Then there was that one dude who was like, "Mr. Kerry says he does not want to use the term 'war' to describe our struggle against terrorism...well, neither do I want to use the term 'commander-in-chief' to describe Mr. Kerry."

Well THAT's sad. *dejectedly consumes a FELLOWSHIP burger after drawing John Kerry's face on the bun in permanent marker.*

Here's some quote-like material, from youth group last night. Sheldon: "I've been sitting in the SCC computer lab too much lately...I think my butt's molding to the interior of the chair. It's kinda got that shoehorn thing going...I don't really fit in the chairs in class, I'm kinda like -" *leans forward* "- this. And I'll be walkin' down the hallway with this big stupid camel-hump on my butt, and people'll be like, 'Hey...what happened t'your butt?'" Josh: "'Hey...why're you lookin'?'"

My daughter Emily, when she was far too young to be able to string words together into anything resembling a sentence (but did so anyway):
"This TV is making me stupid!"
Here's a joke that Emily made up (remember, she's only 4): "Why did the dog cross the road? ---To catch the chicken ahahahaha... But, what do you get when a dog crosses the road?? A FLAT DOG!"
Dakota (who is at risk of losing 'privileges that he doesn't even know he has' according to a wonderful quote from LuAnn) is currently expanding his vocabulary immensely, so prepare for more (not necessarily stupid, but very entertaining) quotes from my kids.
