The board was down for about 4 hours or so today.... 
I'm not sure why, the server, 64.246.60.107, seemed to be perfectly fine, as both I and a networking buddy was able to communicate with it through ICMP echo requests....
Anyways, for whatever reason, it was shut down. I may have offended some hackers by referring to my desktop system as invunerable in the "Emails Resurrected" thread and caused them to flood the server with some other sort of traffic besides ICMP and used the redundant traffic to devour their bandwidth, which might explain why I was still able to ping. But why they would attack this server instead of my house is beyond me. My claim still stands as my computer being invunerable. All ports stealthed, all Windows Net services shut down to the outside world. Come on, try to hack me! ;D
Computer nonsense aside, in all seriousness, I doubt ANYONE tried to flood or hack the boards. The downtime was probably a result of maintenance or some other trivial reason. My point essentially is:
I CANNOT LIVE ANOTHER 4 HOURS WITH THE BOARDS
