anyways,
basically as far as sports goes, it's awesome down here. people are
really committed, which i also like cause at least i'm doing like,
one of about 3 or 4 things at any given time: playing
basketball/running, sleeping, playing guitar, or playing GT2 on the
PlayStation. and for hudson and keenan, i might add that i'm now the
proud owner of a 1011 HP BEAST. i won it in some race in the GT
league races. it's basically a drag racing car, and obviously
designed for that intent, having these pathetic, tiny tires on the
front, and big fat tires on the back. and well, me being a genius,
tried to race it against, like, GT class cars. needless to say, i
drove into several walls and got last place. but i did accidentally
pop a wheelie for like a 1/4 mile while going 220+. but i don't think
they designed the car with turning in mind. when i take it too the
max speed track, it can't even make the turns at like 70 mph. the
downside to the car is that it's obviously not an american-made car,
as the engine of choice is a inline or v-6 that is turbocharged and
only makes about 500 lb-ft of torque.
okay, sorry for confusing everyone ELSE there....the game's addictive
what can i say...
the church i joined is pretty cool. it's basically HUGE. last week we
had an attendance of 600+ in sunday school. but they break the
classes down by your grade and gender (ex.: i am in the 11th boys
class), and so there's only like 11 people in my class. but i don't
know anyone besides brandt. not yet, anyways. by the way, i have
found many more strange ways brandt and i are clones...i play
electric, he plays acoustic and bass. apparently, he's still
recovering...(hudson laughs). i don't understand being a country fan
and playing bass, but oh well. the the church divides it's services
into two, to alleviate over crowding. they have their own 'adult'
praise band for sundays, and apparently the youth group has their own
'youth' praise band for wednesdays. with an opening for an electric
player i might add. but after hearing the sunday praise songs, i feel
any effort on electric wouldn't be very appreciated by the average
west plains teen. the church is a baptist church (first baptist of
west plains), and sings a few praise songs to open services, but
obviously, being a southern baptist church, goes then heavily into
hyms.
which is okay, cause i have no preference.
well, again, i'm cut short of time by parent's deadline to be home.

tickects for rockfest are $25 for advanced seating, probably more if
we bought them the day of the concert. i can order them over the

This was the last installment, and i might of had trouble sending this, or it might have got screwed up when it was being uploaded, because only about half of it is here...it just abruptly stops... . i'm back for the third installment of my nonsense. now accompanied by
my trusty assistant, jacob. shawn is coming over some time tomarrow,
cause he and scott just got moved in at Doniphan. Doniphan is the
school that has basketball as it's only sport, and gets a week out of
school for deer-hunting season. and may i remind you that the
doniphan class of 2002 had class colors of.....camoflauge. needless
to say, they're from a ways 'down south'. but the kids are very
insane (thank god!), and are very good at basketball, since they
obviously play all the time, for lack of other sports. i got the
privilage of driving the suburban from doniphan to w.p. the other
day. i had to drive a load of our stuff that we had got when we sold
grandma nellie's old house in K.C. amoung the items was grandma's
old death-dealing stereo, which i happily transported to my room and
hooked up to my reciever and CD player. the bass is just phenomenal
in that room with that unit. and, unlike every other one of my stereo
components with the exception of my jensen speakers, it looks nice.
but following in my tradition with electronics, it was produced in
the 1970's and is complete with the built-in turn-table. but it's
really cool. my room over is pretty cramped compared to my last room.
i guess now that i think about it, my room at our other house was
relatively huge, and i pretty much stuck stuff where it looked the
best with absolute disregard for space. but it's funny now, cause i
like have to plan out where i'm gonna stick stuff now, so it's
efficient and conserves space, and doesn't look cluttered....i don't
want mom on my case about it. i'm still very pleased with it and
pretty much everything else down here. it's turning out better than i
thought it would when i first came down in may. i was relatively
horrified when i first came down and stayed that week in may at joe
bill's. i could tell i was VERY out of element around half the way
down, at springfield. plus i noticed when i was driving that there
was NOTHING but country on the radio, along with southern-christian
talk radio. and then to top it off, we arrive at joe bill's and he's
in cut-off jeans that are shorts, and were higher than what is, uh,
style-ish. i remember just thinking "okay show me my room, let
me go to bed, see ya tomorrow" in my nice-guy sort of mannerism.

well, the fam. has decided to purchase a new WINDOWS-based system,
so i will now be able to resume pyschotic emails and conversations on
MSN & AOL. it's cool, and since i tend to brag sometimes, i'll brag
ya a few specs on the new gateway:

basically it's really fast and i like it. and as luck would have it,
it's a glossy black with grey trim. it looks sharp. as it cost about
$2000, it's obviously not mine, and i didn't purchase it. besides, i
would NEVER purchase a computer with a clock speed over 90 mHz!
life in west plains is going alright. school's going well. basketball
was going well, but i strained my lower back a few days ago, and
dad's kept me from playing, which sucks. but can't do much about it
when he's coach.
anyways, this is going to be unusually short, cause i've been on
forever, and my mom wants to use it. i've ordered the power chord for
my effects processor, and am obviously anxious to get it, as i'll now
be able to record to a computer which burns CDs and DVDs. which means
that coming soon is my semi-production of what has been accomplished
on my video with dave mustaine and slash. the movie editing software
is pretty sweet, so i actually could make a music video with it,
either using a already-recorded song from a metal band and having
dave and slash do the acting, or something like that. the possibilies
are very funny.
notes to specifics before i go:
keenan, it's my bad for not getting the UHF DVD back, but i'd like to
get that back whenever i can.
Sheldon, i would like a copy of the CIY notes if possible.
hudson, found something very interesting for if you would ever want
to do a van halen cover. if you've got the original CD's, and you
switch you're balance all the way to either left or right ( i can't
remember), you'll get just the drums and bass. if you record that
double-tracked (record it as two separate sources), you can get
stereo. and if for some reason you wanted to go with the channel
opposite the drums and bass, you'd get DLR and eddie. i don't know
why you'd do that (the second option), but anyways.

sorry, that was a lot of reading, but i witnessed that one live from
beside scott, and we were falling out of our chairs at the
'jackapplest, buttkrackerst...etc. comment, and the song scott and

yes sheldon, DO NOT buy an e-machine. for that matter, DO NOT buy a pre-made computer. i'll get back on tonight and show you what i can build with $1000. you'd be VERY surprised. and don't worry, since computers take like maybe an hour to physically put together, i'd do it for free! but like i said, if you're gonna buy, don't get e-machines. it's a long explanation (that i can give if you'd like), basically they cut corners wherever they can (processor architecture, memory bus) to drive the price down, and that's no good! and i'd gladly build a computer for anyone on here (BWARF. excluded....build your own, buddy) for free...i'll search out your parts online too!

as far as 512mb of DDR ram, keenan, well that just depends on fast of memory bus you want to run, sonny. if you're gonna do really intensive gaming, you'll want the fastest they make (and your motherboard will support), whatever that is now (1000mhz, 1200 perhaps?). if you're gonna play older games, you'd probably want middle of the line memory (400 mhz, 533 mhz, 800 mhz). If you're gonna do mostly word processing and REALLY old games, like the ones I play (DOS games and 1995-1998ish windows games...interstate76, nfs I & II....those types of games), then you'll want the slower memory (333 mhz and below). unless you've got money out the wazoo (or high end memory has got a LOT cheaper than the last time i checked), you'll probably want middle of the line memory, cause that will work for most new games pretty darn well. a lot depends on how nice of video card you're running. our computer is a year old, and runs what was the fastest at the time (400 mhz), and can take on all the new games without a problem. but i also have an 128 mb AGP-slot card. we'll talk more computer nonsense later.
